启航！华菱资源顺利交付首批fmg管道模块

the journey starts! valin resources successfully delivered the first batch of fortescue pipeline modules

2022年10月4日，湖南华菱资源贸易有限公司（下称华菱资源）承接的钢结构管道设备在江苏镇江新民洲港启航，驶往fmg位于西澳皮尔巴拉地区的黑德兰港码头，这是继fmg集团与湖南钢铁集团在第三届中国国际进口博览会上签署《钢材深加工产品战略合作框架协议》后，双方合作并成功交付的又一个大额订单，标志着双方在深化战略合作上取得了新的里程碑！

on oct. 4, 2022, hunan valin resources trading co., ltd. (''valin resources'') started shipment of the steel structure pipeline modules at xinminzhou port in zhenjiang, jiangsu province, and would head to port hedland at pilbara region, western australia. this is another big order successfully delivered after strategic cooperation framework agreement for fabrication products was signed between fortescue and hunan steel on the 3rd china international import expo. it marked a new milestone in strengthening strategic cooperation.

fortescue's contract awarded to valin resources includes the pipes for the concentrate handling facility and the tailings line pipe work for the pipeline at the opf, covering over 10 different types of pipes and spool liners. besides, the 6 pipe modules are up to 8.4 meters wide and 26 meters long, and about 3000 cubic meters of total volume. of which 3d hdpe pipes with large bending diameter need to be purchased from overseas suppliers. due to great varieties and complicated processes, and raw materials needed are sourced from a number of manufacturers, great challenges were brought to project management.

it took us 4 months to fabricate and deliver the pipe modules under ddu terms. valin resources provided door-to-door delivery services. during this period, we encountered a variety of challenges in project technical exchange and raw materials procurement because of covid-19 control and hot weather, as well as the difficulties of large-scale steel structure  transportation and lifting at wharf. eventually, valin resources made efforts to coordinate and overcome the difficulties with all parties to ensure on-time delivery.  

even mountains and seas cannot distance people with common aspirations.in 2009, hunan steel invested in fortescue which created a new chapter of cooperation. over the past decade, the steady development of urbanization in china has injected vitality into the steel industry. hunan steel has gradually become one of the most important customers of fortescue in china. the synergy between downstream valin resources steel products and upstream fortescue iron ore has further strengthened the long-established strategic partnership between hunan steel and fortescue. this will actively promote cooperation in a wide range of fields and improve cooperation level to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
